So Much For a Reprieve

A lot can change in a year. I'm officially menopausal now, and that little break from hot flashes I wrote about not so long ago? Back with a vengeance. I'm awake more than I'm asleep at night (or so it feels), but I still haven't caved and bought Estroven. That stuff's not cheap, and I figure I have more time than money, so if I get to the point of being nonfunctional for a measurable part of the day, I'll bite the bullet.

In one year I lost my mom, took Jylle in for an emergency appendectomy, passed a physical with fair colors except for the hypertension, failed my next one with both hypertension and high cholesterol, tried four different meds, passed into the darker side of 50, fallen for a black and white kitty named Peter, hiked hill and dale, and gotten closer to my dad. All in all, I have nothing to complain about. Life's pretty grand.

  1. Hello Charity!

    Sorry about your mom!
I've been tormented with HOT FLASHES for about 7 years now...totally refuse to get into hormonal theraoy due to the health risks; I opt for longevity instead of quality of life! Last night I tink that I managed to get 5 hours staright of sleep and consider it a miracle; I am blessed! Have a great day!
